Before first use, boil or run the bottle through the dishwasher to sterilize. All parts are dishwasher-safe. The bottle and sleeve may be boiled together. You don not need to remove the sleeve to wash the bottle, but if you wish to remove the sleeve, it comes off best in warm, soapy water. Nipples should be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher only.

Remove tops and nipples before microwaving. Please test the temperature to ensure that it is safe to drink. Shake the liquid before testing the temperature to eliminate hotspots that can occur with many microwaves. Some of the labels and inserts state that the product is not intended for use in a microwave oven. This is a general statement because the bottles are not specifically developed as cookware/bakeware.

As it is made from boroscilicate glass, this baby bottle can go from the freezer to a boiling water pot without incident.

Borosilicate glass - a pharmaceutical-grade glass that is purer, and higher quality than soda lime glass used in manufacturing most other glass baby bottles. This glass is stronger and can withstand extreme temperature changes (from boiling to freezing) without breaking. Soda lime bottles do not have this quality.
